Senior Thesis Poster Session

Hi all,

Graduating seniors Hannah Chase, Kristin Kiefer, and Sierra Phillips.

The first annual Comparative Sociology Senior Thesis Poster Presentation was a success. As you probably know, seniors in the Department of Comparative Sociology are required to complete a two-semester senior thesis course. The purpose of that course is to guide students through the process of designing and conducting a research project, collecting and analyzing data, and preparing a substantial piece of scholarship by the conclusion of their time at the University of Puget Sound. For many students, the work they conduct for their senior thesis serves as a springboard to post-graduate careers and graduate studies.

With funding support from the Dean’s office, the Comparative Sociology department was able to host a three-hour poster session for the first time. Hundreds of students and community members attended, giving our seniors the opportunity to discuss their research at length with attendees. Here’s a full list of the thesis titles and seniors:
