Graduate and Undergraduate Fellowships
Fall 2012 Fellowships Forum
Sharon Chambers-Gordon, the Director of the Office of Graduate and Undergraduate Fellowships, asked us to pass along this invitation to you. This is a special invitation to the University of Puget Sound’s Spring Fellowships Forum on Wednesday, November 7th, at 5:30 p.m. in Wyatt 109.
Current student winners will be available to share information about various fellowship and scholarship opportunities. If you are interested in the Goldwater, Fulbright, Rhodes, Marshall, Madison, Soros, Truman, Boren & Gilman (for study abroad) and many others, you should definitely attend. For example, you can apply for the Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship even as a sophomore, and local club members will be in attendance to discuss the application process. Or: Did you know that the Watson Fellowship awards $25,000 and pays your student loans for one year while you are overseas? Or: the Jack Kent Cooke Graduate Scholarship awards $50,000 per year and can fund six years of graduate study. That’s $300,000.
These fellowships typically require paperwork, and that paperwork will be available at the forum. Overall, there is a lot of free money available for funding college, overseas travel, research, and graduate school, so you are highly encouraged to attend. Many of these opportunities are ideal for CSOC students.
Please RSVP at firstname.lastname@example.org so they can ensure enough refreshments are provided.
