As you may or may not know, the University of Puget Sound has a longstanding faculty exchange program with the University of Passau in Germany. Every year, we send a faculty member there for a month or so, and they reciprocate by sending a faculty member here. Dr. Stefan Halft is visiting our campus this month, and he’s presenting a lecture about his work tonight. Dr. Halft is particularly interested in the long transnational connections between Germany and Turkey, and in this presentation, he explores how those peoples, relations, and migrations are portrayed in German cinema.
